It's almost not even worth playing outside of messing around in the Crucible. That's been the first new Legendary (other than the forced hand-cannon, which is okay) that I really like and plan to keep on me at all times.Īfter completing those quests and the "powerful weapons" missions for the week, it takes forever to gain levels. Mine dropped with a masterwork magazine, which was even more of a bonus. It's also a full-on terrific PvE weapon with a huge magazine.

The Battle Scar is a full auto pulse rifle that handles shockingly well. I found a normal legendary drop that I really like, too. I had like 50 of those tickets, so it shockingly wasn't that much of a grind. I nabbed the various sleeper nodes while shooting all of the symbols all over the map. I was lucky that enough people had rockets and active supers to get it done. I eventually just waited until I saw 6-7 people in the same area and kicked it off. I ended up getting the Sleeper Simulant finally. Oh yeah, worth mentioning - I'm only level 351. With an interceptor you can do it with 4-5 as long as everyone uses their super and heavy ammo. Otherwise it takes like 8 people to take those damned ogres out at the end. The key (IMO) is to attempt that after someone has gotten an interceptor from a Psion. I had to open 15 of the musical caches (not as bad as it sounds) and win 3 escalation protocol rounds. Once you do that portion, you'll be where I'm at. That arena is bigger than it looks and you can hide behind some of the obstacles on the sides for 15-20 seconds at a time. There are times where that's the best strategy. Don't be afraid to run like hell and let them come back via the 30 second timer, too. Bosses are especially rough, so just do your best to stay close to players and revive them when possible. Just stick with your group and go slowly.

Enemies do a better job of swarming solo players and they kill you quickly. Prior to Warmind one of the best strategies for strikes was to sprint like hell whenever possible.

About the only thing you can do is hope that other players try to revive you. I ended up doing that part of the quest at around 345. I'm still on a later version of that quest.
